We started with what we called the barn tour across Florida. We looked at 5 different barn venues and chose Mision Lago Estate. It had the perfect balance of refined rustic beauty .

The couple chose the vineyard for the wedding ceremony location because of its beauty and uniqueness in Florida. It really feels like you are in Italy or California.

We collaborated with the florist on the floral design. A mixture of fresh and dried florals mixed with the quintessential boho pampas grass were used to create the backdrop for the ceremony and bouquets. .

How We Did It
Design and Decor
Gabriella is a true boho bride and wanted the wedding design and decor to reflect that. We got a little crafty and created this unique seating chart display for cockttail hour.

We used a combination of farm tables and linen covered tables to break up all the wood tones in the barn. Glass jugs with pampas grass used to line the aisle were repurposed as centerpieces. Mismatched china was chosen for salad plates, gold flatware, charger plates and candle sticks were selected to add some sparkle to the table. I love the mixture of rustic woods with golds. A boho tablescape wouldn't be complete without a macrame runner. We were inspired by all the greenhouses on the property and made the place cards from broken teracotta flower pots. The ceremony arrangements were repurposed to dress up the sweettheart table.
We Can Keep A Secret
We worked closey with Gabriella's mother to arrange to have ceiling drapery and cafe lights installed which helped break up all the wood tones and add softness to the barn. Gabriella and Carter didn't know about this until they were introduced into the reception. We also worked with mom on the design of a surprise gluten free wedding cake that would accompany the ice cream cart the couple chose as a gluten free option.

The cake, ice cream cart and espresso station were staged inside a greenhouse. We again took inspiration from the space and used clay pots set among the plants to serve the ice cream toppings.
The Send Off
After a night of dancing and fun times at the photo booth, we gave the couple couple a grand send off with thousands of bubbles using bubble machines. Guests were given bubbles to play with and add to the mix of bubbles in the air.
"Hiring Karen was absolutely one of the best decisions I made when starting my wedding planning. She is SO knowledgeable and detail oriented; she knows how to get things done and she’s full of fantastic advice. It was a pleasure working with her and her daughter Shelby to create the wedding of my dreams. Karen was there every step of the way, and even helped us figure out a few finer details after the wedding was over when we had an issue with our caterer. I’d recommend her services to anyone looking for a competent, resourceful, and caring person to guide them on their wedding planning and day of coordination journey. Karen is the BEST!"
