A Special Date

Alyssa and Zander's wedding date of 7/11/2020 was very special to Alyssa. Unfortunately, her mother past away from breast cancer several years before she and Zander were engaged. She and her mom loved sharing Slurpees from 7-Eleven together. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, they were forced to make a decision between postponing their wedding and losing the date or moving forward. They chose to keep their original date and were married on 7/11/20 at Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon. They had a Catholic service among their closest family and friends and we live streamed the wedding on Facebook to her friends and family members that were unable to attend. Afterwards they got to say hello and thank all their virtual guests for attending. Following the ceremony they headed to their local 7- Eleven and purchased Slurpees in memory of her mother then to the grounds of the University of Tampa for photos followed by an intimate dinner party. Alyssa and Zander chose to postpone their wedding reception until July 2021 where they will host their guests at The Orlo in Tampa as originally planned. While it was not an ideal situation, we think they made a great decision to keep the date and we look forward to their 2021 reception.
