Emily & Casey's Tropical Garden Wedding

Emily and Casey had to postpone their original wedding date due to you guessed it, Covid. They had made it to the week of their wedding when an immediate family member contracted the virus. They rescheduled the date to November 2021 and Emily contacted EventFull Weddings just a couple months prior to to help regroup all of her vendors and wrap up loose ends.

We were thrilled to be involved and Emily and her mom Elaine were a joy to work with. As requested, we contacted all of the vendors, helped refresh contracts and finalize details. We created their day of timeline and coordinated the wedding day. Emily and Casey's wedding was at the historic Sunken Gardens in St.Petersburg, Florida. As a Tampa native, I had surprisingly never visited the gardens so it was a special treat for me. What a gorgeous, lush, tropical venue. You have all the beautiful flowers and greenery for stunning backdrops and photos you could ever need. They lucked out as well with the weather. It was a sunny cool day, perfect for an outdoor wedding.

Cocktail hour was held outdoors in the gardens under cafe lights and a beautiful lighted Christmas tree made for a perfect photo spot for guests. Afterwards the guests meandered through the lighted gardens to the ballroom.

The color palette was teal with bright florals and tropical greenery designed by Fancy Free Nursery. Woven natural water hyacinth chargers added that tropical touch to the table and Emily's talented relative hand painted her table numbers and made the adorable succulent magnets placed at each setting as a favor. Small personal touches and a little DIY can make your wedding so much more personal and special.

Catering By the Family served a plated dinner and dessert was wedding cake from Publix and cake shots in assorted flavors. Guests danced to DJ Cory Barron & Co and enjoyed the selfie photo booth before the couple's sparkler exit. We so enjoyed meeting Emily and Casey's family and friends and experiencing the beautiful gardens. Thank you for trusting us with your special day and congratulations!
