Tampa Yacht Wedding

Monday afternoon at 2:00 PM I received a call from Dr. Merrit asking if I could plan his wedding for that Saturday. Usually we have at least six months but I said of course let's do it!

Fortunately, he and his fiance' June had already secured the The Yacht Starship as their venue. The guest list consisted of 50 of their closest friends and family. When discussing with them what they wanted their wedding to look like, June explained she wanted pink and silver balloons and as much sparkle as I could get her.

I contacted Danielle with Save the Date Florida to see what she could do for me as far as florals with such short notice.

She wasn't phased at all and got to work

ordering pink florals, silver vases, silver candles and silver sequined table runners. Mission accomplished. I reached out to Geraldine with Party Balloons and we came up with the perfect design to highlight the ballroom and wedding party table complete with a pink and silver metallic balloons.

Having so little time, I went straight to Publix for the wedding cake. Of course it was decorated in pink roses, iridescent sparkles and filled with strawberries. We surprised Dr. Merrit with a grooms cake with his favorite filling of key lime.

Dr. Merrit's daughter played the harp for their ceremony and June walked down the aisle in a pink dress. It was a beautiful spring day for an outdoor ceremony with the city as the backdrop. Stephanie Lanni Photography was the couple's photographer and is credited with taking these beautiful photos. Stephanie offers

elopement and micro-wedding packages perfect for weddings like this.

This micro-wedding planned in four days had all the elements of a traditional wedding and is a perfect example of why hiring a wedding planner is essential. In four days we were able to pull it all together for them. A beautiful venue, hair and makeup artist, photography, dinner, dancing, wedding cake, flowers and balloons as well as a limousine to whisk the couple away at the end of their cruise. Congratulations June and Dr. Merrit!
