The Ceremony
Gracie and Gordon's ceremony arch was a lush arrangement of monstera leaves and white orchids. Her bouquet was the epitome of clasic elegance comprised mainly of white orchids and tropical greenery. The wedding party wore a copper color that complimented the room's aesthetics beautifully. And who doesn't love a petal toss exit?
The Reception
The inspiration for the reception design was taken from the hotel's tropical plants and "house plants" hanging in the cafe. We focused heavily on plants for centerpieces rather than florals but did add in the white orchids. Gracie was concerned about the ceiling height and the size of the room feeling too cold and large for her guest count. To address that, we brought in several tropical trees to warm the space and hung a large scale "chandelier" made from tropical greenery and rattan lanterns over the dance floor to lower the ceiling height. To tie in the rattan lanterns to our table-scape design, we had custom place cards made using a coordinating rattan pattern. Black table cloths helped to warm the room and gold accessories with green water goblets added the sparkle and elegance. The end result was a sophisticated and elegant space to celebrate in with friends and family.
