Tiffany and Jarib, How a Scooter Date Turned Into Forever

Tiffany and Jarib contacted me to help them plan and organize their elopement and she wanted to do everything for under $1000. Sure! They had the date picked out 1/4/2021 which was a Monday but not much else. Yes, Covid-19 has changed everything and people get married on Mondays now! Our first item we tackled was where. Tiffany said they wanted someplace outside and someplace that felt like Tampa. She mentioned possibly a place with a waterfall, a garden of flowers or even a beer garden. Hey, they are both gardens! I set up a field trip with several locations on the list with the first stop being Plant Park at the University of Tampa. We walked around the park and they were done. They said this is it! The only debate was to hold the ceremony by an oak tree (Tiffany) or a grouping of palm trees (Jarib). Tiffany won.

From there I gave her a few photographers to check out. Photography is very personal. Every photographer has their own style. Tiffany chose to go with Stephanie Lannie Photography. I anticipated that because they are both have sweet bubbly personalities. With the effects the virus has had on the wedding industry, photographers have created elopement and micro-wedding packages making it possible to have professional photos at an affordable price.

Tiffany decided on an arch she found on Instagram from Megpies Events. She loves sunflowers so she provided her own sunflower garland for Megpies to decorate the arch with and made her own sunflower bouquet. It was a beautiful sunny day perfect for that sunny sunflower yellow. I located her officiant, Tiffany booked her hair and makeup, and Jarib's best friend managed the music. Jarib actually had his suit before Tiffany had her dress. When does THAT happen? She purchased her dress with just a few weeks remaining. Her dress had pockets which was completely fitting for her personality. Pockets are just fun!

The day was beautiful, sunny and cool. The buildings in Downtown Tampa and the river sparkled in the background. Tiffany invited only a few guests that gathered around but students and professors stopped along the way to yell "congratulations!" and "you look beautiful!" It was so fun.

After the nuptials Stephanie and I walked with the newlyweds all around the UT campus taking beautiful photos. These two didn't stop having fun the entire time. Stephanie knows all the spots on campus for great shots. Tiffany and Jarib's first date involved scooters so they wanted photos with a scooter. To end the day we walked down Kennedy Blvd. hunting down scooters and luckily found two close by. On the walk people honked their horns and congratulated them. I think people just feel happy instinctively when they see a bride and groom. Stephanie got the cutest shots with the scooters and from there the two were off on their honeymoon.

We are so honored to have been a part of their wedding day and wish them all the happiness in the world! Congratulations Tiffany and Jarib!!
